چکیده

Consider a video sequence captured by a single camera observing a complex dynamic scene containing an unknown mixture of multiple moving and possibly deforming objects. In this paper we propose an unsupervised approach to the challenging problem of simultaneously segmenting the scene into its constituent objects and reconstructing a 3D model of the scene. The strength of our approach comes from the ability to deal with real-world dynamic scenes and to handle seamlessly different types of motion: rigid, articulated and non-rigid. We formulate the problem as hierarchical graph-cut based segmentation where we decompose the whole scene into background and foreground objects and model the complex motion of non-rigid or articulated objects as a set of overlapping rigid parts. We evaluate the motion segmentation functionality of our approach on the Berkeley Motion Segmentation Dataset. In addition, to validate the capability of our approach to deal with real-world scenes we provide 3D reconstructions of some challenging videos from the YouTube-Objects and KITTI dataset.

MonoPerfCap: Human Performance Capture from Monocular Video

We present the first marker-less approach for temporally coherent 3D performance capture of a human with general clothing from monocular video. Our approach reconstructs articulated human skeleton motion as well as medium-scale non-rigid surface deformations in general scenes. Human performance capture is a challenging problem due to the large range of articulation, potentially fast motion, and...

Trajectory Triangulation: 3D Reconstruction of Moving Points from a Monocular Image Sequence

ÐWe consider the problem of reconstructing the 3D coordinates of a moving point seen from a monocular moving camera, i.e., to reconstruct moving objects from line-of-sight measurements only. The task is feasible only when some constraints are placed on the shape of the trajectory of the moving point. We coin the family of such tasks as atrajectory triangulation.o We investigate the solutions fo...

3D Scene Reconstruction System from Multiple Synchronized Video Images

One of the goals of three-dimensional (3D) computer graphics is to create virtual realistic images of dynamically changing scenes. In this paper, we designed and implemented a system that processes multiple synchronized video sequences and generates 3D rendering of dynamic objects in real time. The videoimage-based virtual volumetric scene reconstruction system acquires synchronized multiple vi...

Single View Corridor Reconstruction

We present an autonomous algorithm for 3d reconstruction from a single image of an indoor scene. Most work on 3d reconstruction from vision uses multiple images (for example, binocular vision/stereopsis), and recovers depths using triangulation. However, the range at which binocular vision is accurate is limited by the “baseline” distance between the two cameras. In contrast, humans are often a...

Video-based 3D Reconstruction of Moving Scenes Using Multiple Stationary Cameras1)

In this paper, we describe a system for video-based 3D reconstruction of dynamic scenes using stereo techniques, with an eye to potential applications in human motion capture. We incorporate into our approach recent research results on stereo matching which make the system efficient and produce good-quality results. The implementation is built on top of Intel’s Open Source Computer Vision Libra...
